Dubai is the home of the world's tallest skyscraper. It is now 160 stories high and is 688 meters which is about 2,257 feet. The developers have not even finished the construction of the building which is set to be completed in about a year. No one knows how tall the skyscraper will actually be, although some guess that it might reach about 900 meters, which is 2,953 feet high. What an amazing feat!
Here is an article with a picture of the amazing skyscraper in Dubai:

Tinnitus ("acúfenos" in spanish) is a sound or noise perceived in the ears in absence of external sound stimulation. It can be present in a single ear, in both, or in the head.
As hyperacusis, tinnitus is not considered a disease, but a symptom of an underlying problem.
Since tinnitus is generated in the head, it can arise due to mechanical causes (e.g. a dysfunction in the temporomandibular joint or repetitive muscular contractions near the ears) which may produce a constant movement in the eardrum, and by this also sounds. This type of tinnitus is called "objective tinnitus".
In the other hand, when its origin is in the auditory system, tinnitus is called "subjective tinnitus".
June 19th was national Dump the Pump day. The community is encouraging its citizens to not drive their vehicles and instead to take public transportation. The price of gas continues to rise and there seems to be no stop to the increase. The Orange County Transportation Authority, also known as OCTA, has offered a week of free 1 day passes to anyone who prints out a coupon on their website. This is a great way to encourage people to not use so much gas and save on natural resources.

Peru is a country with many social contrasts, no only by economic but also by ethnic, and geographical differences. This fact has been the main source to the appearance of multiple forms of discrimination, that still remains present and strong in our society nowadays. The ethnic discrimination is the worst and the main obstacle to reach a real national identity. The responsibility rests in many factors, but one of them has been, during all these years, the lack of an adequate government’s educational programs which promotes the integration.

Hi, my name is Sam and I am 17 years old. I'm from the United States and have been studying Spanish for almost 5 years now. I also just got back a couple of weeks ago from living in Chile for 6 months as an exchange student. My heart is split between there and here, I love both.
I like helping people with their English questions a lot because someday I hope to be an English teacher. If you are Chilean I would especially like to talk to you. Haha. Take care all..
