Check out this funny video. She had a hard time pronouncing English. The subtitles are on the video, although you won't understand most of it. Since she is singing her own made up language. :) Enjoy!

Within the field of peruvian popular music, there is a type of music called “cumbia tropical”, which comes from the amazon region. In this video you will hear a famous song of one of its best exponents: Juaneco y su Combo. The song calls: “Mujer Hilandera” (“Spinner woman”.

Hi

I'm Jix from México, I'm here because I like to talk to new people and to improve my poor english. I'd like to share with you some music I like: Rythms del mundo.

One of the best ways to get an approach to peruvian culture is through its traditional and popular music.

There are in Peru three distinct geographical regions: the Costa, coastal zone bordered by the Pacific Ocean; the Sierra, highlands where is the Andean mountain chain with peaks above 5,000 mts.; and the Selva, lowlands located in the Amazon Basin on the eastern side of the country which borders mainly Brasil.

In each of these regions there are many musical styles with particular characteristics developed into the form of ethnic, folk or popular music.
