Hi
There are some reasons because of your computer's slowness:
-Lack of hard drive space
-Virus/Spyware
-Too many programs installed (as u mentioned) that could have damaged the OS (Operating System)
For me a reinstalation of OS is the last alternative, but it's the fastest option available, you can try to uninstall software that you don't really use and after that defrag the partition/hard drive. Depending of what OS you have installed there are tools that you can use to do this, if you have Windows XP/Vista go to My PC and right click on your hard drive, go to "Tools" and later on the Defragmentation button.
A deep scan for viruses/spyware is another option, there are online scanners like: http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
If you choose to reinstall everything don't forget to make a backup of your most valuable information.
If you have more questions I can help you to make them grow hehe

I did it what you say. I have delete the programs that I do not use. My computer is little faster. I will try for the virus scan. I have tried before but I never found it. There is no vires in my computer before. I backup my information in my Cd's . I think the computer is slow now but better. Is it good to add memory? I don;t know how.
thank you jixcito

Sometimes an antivirus isn't enough to get rid of trojans/spyware. Check this tool named "spybot - search and destroy" here:

About upgrading your computer, it's always helpful to add memory modules, change the hard drive or graphics card, etc. Depends on how much you want to spend on your equipment. Do you have a laptop or a desktop computer? In any case you have to check on your manual about the computer specifications, so you can buy the correct memory module because there are different types of them like DDR or DDR2 DIMM's, SDRAM RIMM's and so. First check if you have free memory slots inside the computer. If you don't have the manuals it's better for you to take your computer to a specialized center so the technicians could check it and tell you what's the best option for your comp.
Sorry if I'm confusing you hehe, saludos

If you already decided to upgrade your computer I suggest you to take it to a technician or computers store. Do you know the brand and model of it? I can google for the specs and find out a little more about your equipment.
