Old man

Today I walked outside to go and get some yummy chicken. There is this place called Chicken Dijon and they make some really good food.

The coolest thing about this place is that it is very healthy and you can be very specific about your order. I got a quarter of a chicken, with the breast and wing. I prefer the white meat. They even peel the skin off if you request that. I don't like the skin much so I always ask them to take it off for me. I also got rice pilaf, cole slaw and some pita bread with garlic sauce. MMMMMM

Well, I was walking with my food in my hand and heading back towards home. I had to go across the street and while I was crossing, I noticed an old man that had fallen, a bit further down, on the side of the road.

I walked over to him. He was really struggling to get up but he couldn't. I offered to help him but he couldn't get to his feet. Eventually, he got himself onto the curb and with both of my hands he was able to stand up.

I helped him to get on the sidewalk and walked him back home. He kept insisting that I leave, but I told him no no no. I just wanted to make sure that he got home safely. His speech seemed slurred and he was hard to understand.

When we were almost at his house, he pulled money out of his pocket and tried to give it to me. I told him that I didn't need money. I just wanted to make sure he got home. He smiled at me.

I got him inside of his house and started walking home and I was thinking. I thought, "What is this world coming to? It seems like nobody wants to help people anymore, just out of a kind heart."

I think its time for everyone to show other people a little bit of love. :)
