&lt;p&gt;Hi, this is Missy, from Blabbinit. Thank you for listening in today. We would like to explain a few differences today between the English from the U.S. and the English from England. I have created a list of 10 words so that you can see that there are major differences between the 2 types of English. The examples are:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;apartment  - flat&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;cookie - biscuit&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;elevator - lift&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;eraser - rubber&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;fries - chips&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;bathroom - loo or WC&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;flashlight - torch&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Stand in a line - queue&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;sidewalk - pavement&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;truck - lorry&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There are also grammatical differences between British English and American English. For example:&lt;/p&gt;
